About Firs Farm Community Hub
The hub is set within Firs Farms & Wetlands and provides a special place for the local community to enjoy a variety of experiences. Home Care Preferred Social Enterprise are the overall operators of the hub and work closely with Leons Café, which is a great place to enjoy a variety of food and beverage. The operators work in conjunction with Friends of Firs Farm, the charity that own the building.
As well as putting on our own events we also encourage the local community to hire facilities at Firs Farm Community Hub.
The hub consists of:

We work with families using the solution focused approach which gives the family full control in the direction of the work and each family member has a part to play in moving the family towards their preferred future.
The family are in the role of the expert as they will understand their family better than we ever will. The families identify their own outcomes from the sessions which they then work towards by taking small manageable steps.
Each family is supported by two practitioners. This gives the family members an opportunity to discuss the challenges and agree a way forward so they no longer require our services.

I grew up in an environment of severe physical abuse, which led to serious injuries in early childhood. Although the case reached Crown Court and was reported nationally, the emotional and psychological impact stayed with me for many years. Like many people, I learned to function, achieve and cope without realising I was living in survival.
A turning point came when my mother left when I was thirteen, breaking the cycle of abuse. Years later, through meditation and deeper self-reflection, I began to understand how much fear and conditioning had shaped my identity, my decisions, and how I experienced the world.
That awareness changed everything.
I went on to explore a wide range of healing modalities, including Clinical Breathwork, EFT, Hypnotherapy, Reiki, and Neural Energetic work. What I discovered is at the heart of everything I now teach:

These are all typical scenarios where you might not have the appropriate answers.

Typical other concerns that may affect you:
What if you should lose capacity as a result of a stroke or developing dementia. How can you ensure that your bank accounts can be accessed by your next of kin.
The solution is for a Financial and Property Lasting Power of Attorney to be prepared in which you appoint an attorney or attorneys to manage your financial affairs if the worst should occur.
What if you should be coming to the end of your life and are being kept artificially alive or if you have an illness which means that you cannot be looked after in your home and have to go into a care home where problems might arise at any time.
The solution is to have a Health and Care Lasting Power of Attorney to be prepared in which your family can authorize doctors to turn off a life support machine or remove tubes from the stomach giving food and water or represent your interests in a care home.
